For the adventures flower heads the Amaryllis living wall kit:

  • Living wall mini - 1 terracotta pot and frame.
  • Amaryllis bulb of your choice.
  • Coconut coir compost.
  • Soil mix.

Hailing from the Andes Mountains of Chile, Peru and Bolivia, this flower has reached Europe in 18th century where over the next 226 years it has been hybridised into the king of bulbs we know today. It has graced the glass houses of many a green fingered aristocrat, just like tulips, but without all the madness of the financial crush.

In Victorian era the Amaryllis represented deep admiration and pride in a strong, beautiful partner, which is why the flower is often associated with Valentines.

These bulbs have been resting in the cold and dark over winter, ready to bloom in 6-8 weeks, when you pop them into a warm room. They are surprisingly easy to grow, requiring very little fuss for the display of flowers you get.
